The subnet mask value to be set to a TeraStation depends on that of an IP address of a PC.
Calculate the value to be set to the TeraStation by referring to the following examples, following a check of the IP address and its subnet mask value set to the PC.

• | Determine the value for the common part of the IP address, based on the parts the subnet mask value of which checked on the PC is "255". |
• | For the value following the common part is to be set to avoid an IP address duplication with other pieces of equipment. |
【Example 1】 suggests the end value be set to "150", reflecting that the IP address for other connected pieces of equipment is set between 192.168.11.10 and 192.168.11.100 without any duplication. 【Example 2】 suggests the end value be set to "200", reflecting that the IP address for other connected pieces of equipment is set between 192.168.11.10 and 192.168.11.100 and "150" is used by the PC. 【Example 3】 suggests the end value be set so as not to cause a duplication with the IP address of other pieces of equipment, following a confirmation of the value for the common part judging from the part with "255". |
