E23 error occures. (The info/error, and power LED is flashing red.)

365An error "E23" occurs when the INFO/ERROR LED (the POWER LED for LS-QVL series) on the front of the unit is flashing in red at the intervals as below.

The number of times of long flashing (flashing in 1.3 secs: Long Flashing) is in the 10s place of the error code (E23).

The number of times of short flashing (flashing in 0.3 secs: Short Flashing) is in the 1s place of the error code (E23).

 

Solution

It may resolve an error to update firmware.

  1. Upate firmware to the latest version.
    Download the latest firmware updater from the web page in each country.
    You can select your region from following link.

  2. After updating firmware, the INFO/ERROR LED (the POWER LED for LS-QVL series) is flashing in orange. (I12: it runs in the degraded mode).
    Set the POWER switch on the back OFF and check the POWER LED is turned off. Then, set the POWER switch ON.

  3. If the INFO/ERORR LED (the POWER LED for LS-QVL series) is tuned off after the product is rebooted, the restoration has been completed.

  4. If the INFO/ERORR LED (the POWER LED for LS-QVL series) is blinking after the product is rebooted, the hard drive is failed.

    • LS-WVL, LS-WXL series
      → Open the front cover to replace the hard drive with the tab at the bottom flashing red and rebuild RAID.

      → Replace the hard drive with the STATUS LED flashing in red. And rebuild RAID.
