What does the message on the LCD display indicate when the ERROR LED is turned on? (TS-X series)

Refer to the following boxes which is listed the meaning of LED blinking and the resolution.

System is not responding.

Unplug the power code of the TeraStation and reboot it. If the error still persists, contact Buffalo's service center for repair.

Can't Load Krnl!

The firmware is corrupted.

Try rebooting the TeraStation 4 or 5 times until the TeraStation will boot up in EM mode, and update the firmware. If the error still persists, contact Buffalo's service center for repair.

SYSTEM Stopped

System hung up.

Unplug the power code of the TeraStation and reboot it. If the error still persists, contact Buffalo's service center for repair.

Lost boot image

The firmware is corrupted.

Unplug the power code of the TeraStation and reboot it. If the error still persists, contact Buffalo's service center for repair.

All HD Not Found

Hard disks are not found.

Hard drives may be not connected or may be damaged. Try reconnecting them after shutting down hard drives.

Dependent Mode

Operating using UPS battery due to the power outage. System will be shut down safely.

Check the power supplied to UPS, and turn TeraStation on if there is no problem on UPS.

TOO HOT!

Temperature in the system may be over the limits of warranty.

Do not place any object around the TeraStation. Or move the TeraStation to the cooler place.

Fan Failure

There is a problem with the number of fan spinning.

Check if there are any objects or dusts on the fan. If you see any objects or dusts, remove them by tweezers or an air duster. The error still persists, contact Buffalo's service center for repair.

Temperature in the system is over the limits of warranty.

Do not place any object around the TeraStation. Or move the TeraStation to the cooler place.

ARRAYx Error

An error occurs in Xth RAID array. When rebooting the TeraStation, it will run as degrade mode when RAID 1 or RAID 5 is used.

You can use an erroneous drive by rebuilding, but it is recommended that you replace the erroneous drive immediately.

Can't Mount

Xth RAID array could not be mounting.

Try disk check for RAID array on the web admin.

HDx Error
Many Bad Sectors

The bad sector in xth hard drive has reached the dangerous zone.

Replace Xth hard drive.

HDx Not Found

Cannot find the Xth hard drive.

The Xth hard drive may not be connect or may be damaged. Replace the hard drive.

HDx Can't Mount

Failed to mount the hard drive.

Format the hard disk. After formatting, reboot the system. If the error is still displayed, replace the hard disk. The error still persists, contact BUFFALO's service center for repair.

HDx Is Faulty

An error occurred and the Xth hard disk was removed from RAID array.

Replace Xth hard drive.

Replication
Replicate Failure

The error occurred during Replication.

Click [Resynchronize] under [System] - [Backup] - [Replication] in the Web Admin interface. The error still persists, contact BUFFALO's service center for repair.

HDx Broken E30 Replace the DISK (When FW Ver.1.51 is applied)

An error occurred and the Xth hard disk was removed from RAID array.

Replace Xth hard drive.
